Dr. Rigoberto Rincones-Gómez earned his Ph.D. in Evaluation, Measurement, and Research Design at Western Michigan University (WMU). He received an Outstanding Dissertation Award, and a WMU Provost's Special Recognition for this Ph.D. Also, as part of his educational background, he received his Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, and his Specialist and Master's degrees in Project Management in Engineering with Summa Cum Laude Honors. Furthermore, he earned a WMU President's Special Recognition for his second Master's degree in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Evaluation, Measurement, and Research Design. Currently, Dr. Rincones works as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Adjunct Faculty at Western Michigan University. In addition, he is a member of several professional associations such as Project Management Institute, American Evaluation Association, Michigan Association for Evaluation, American Educational Research Association, and The International Society for Performance Improvement, among others.

Leadership Approaches: Reflections from Experienced and Novice Leaders

This study investigated and advocated a multiple-perspectives approach on leadership. Based on a conceptual framework of perspectives on leadership and assumptions underlying those perspectives, this study inquired into (a) how leaders perceived the concept of leadership, and (b) whether or not they took a multiple-perspectives approach on leadership, and if so, how they integrated the multiple perspectives on leadership in their practice.
